That statement is utterly wrong for the following reasons

  1. Historians have no evidence of wheather or not Odysses ever lived
  2. If he lived he was only king of Ithaca
  3. In any of the books concerning Greek MYTHOLOGY, the city states of Greece are never unified effectively. ( Exception is Agamemnon, although you cant count it as an empire as the alliance was very loose)
