Assuming you are really asking about the beginning of Columbus' first voyage to America, he left from Palos, Spain on August 3, 1492. On the return trip, he did stop at Santa Maria in the Portuguese Azores Islands from February 18 - 28, 1493. Then, he stopped at Lisbon, Portugal from 4 - 13 March 1493. He finally arrived back at Palos on 15 Mar 1493.

Technically, Columbus did leave Portugul during the voyage, but that was near the end of the voyage. The voyage started in Spain.

None of his future voyages to the new world seem to have taken him to Portugal. However, before that first voyage, Christopher Columbus lived in Portugal or Portuguese territory from 1476 - 1485. After he moved to Spain, he returned to Portugal in 1488 to try a second time to get the Portuguese to fund his expedition. And, Christopher's brother Bartholomew lived in Lisbon. Christopher may well have visited him there numerous times.
