Hoovervilles sprang up in the nations cities
Hymers is an old English name from the Hymerford area. The Hymers line in Canada sprang from United Empire Loyalists who left the Boston area during the late 1700s and settled in Upper Canada in the vicinity of Thunder Bay, founding the town of Hymers, Ontario.
