Well after we beat Spain, Cuba became free of Spain's rule, we gained the Philippians, and our future president Teddy Roosevelt gained much popularity. This also was a key part in US Imperialism, helped us show that we will enforce the Monroe doctrine, and Americans at this time really wanted to go to war with someone so this let us do that in a short war.
