Chances are if she was a peasant her name would not be in the history books so you choose. How about Madame Marie Dupois ? That sounds like a good French name. And no, I do not know anyone by that name nor have I ever heard of a Marie Dupois but it's as good as any. Probably a bit like saying Mrs Mary Smith in England.
