Because floppy drives (like CD-ROM drives) are very inexpensive. It will cost you $10 at the high end for a brand new floppy drive, just asking a technician to look at your floppy drive could cost more than that.

Try replacing the thermostat next. Also to make sure that you bleed the air out of the cooling system by letting the engine warm up with the radiator cap off. Next on the list would be to replace your radiator hoses if they seem soft to the touch, they could collapse under acceleration. Be sure to check for engine oil in coolant and/or coolant in the engine oil(looks like mud). This will signify a head gasket leak. Hope that helps. ricko well ricko i believe u have solved my problem,my car will run perfect when its not being drove and fans come on and it doesnt overheat at all,but as soon as you go to drive the car it starts to overheat and i can not figure out why?but when i take the radiator cap off i have a mud like looking substance on the cap and when you comes out the over flow and dries it looks like rust,so you think my head gasket is gone?it has been like that since i have owned the car though for 2 years and i replaced the radiator and thermostat a month ago and like i said as long as i don't drive it it does fine but as soon as i go to drive it will start heading for the red.confused 1996 toy Camry 2200 owner. john
