What events in American history would be considered violations of modern civil rights?

If the history of the United States begins when the thirteen colonies became states under the US Constitution, then two major sets of activities concerning the USA would today be considered human rights violations. Using "major" as the criteria, and using USA as the place, of these violations, three main violations can be identified. 1. slavery 2. violations of treaties made with Native Americans and human rights violations made against Natives where no treaties were involved, and 3. Denying women the right to vote. In some counties women still are denied the right to vote.

What were the limitations of the civil rights movement?

The limitations of the civil rights movement (In relation to Blacks in the US) were as follows. 1) The mindset and ideologies of white supremacist followers could not be changed by alterations in the status and formation of laws desegregating and pronouncing blacks as equal. The individual is the only one who can change their own ideas and thoughts, no court can do this. 2) The Civil Rights movement was not able to desegregate housing and residential areas which had long before been created and defined so as to separate lower income blacks from higher income whites who saw blacks as unworthy of living in their neighborhoods. 3) Ever increasing incarceration rates of blacks, due mainly to drugs and other forms of survival that have arisen in low income, "ghetto" areas due to a lack of opportunities and education has caused a depletion of potential workers and income in black neighborhoods. 4) There were many more limitations of the Civil Rights Movement, but these are a few of the key limitations. The civil rights movement, despite the above limitations did provide the roots for many modern black and non white achievements, as well as female and homosexual achievements which has greatly changed american society.

What is the Federal statute of limitation on a civil conspiracy?

It's dependent on what state you live in. Civil rights lawsuits are really only applicable if you're dealing with a state or federal employee. You can't sue a private citizen for civil rights violations, but you would be able to sue a government employee or institution if your rights have been violated. You can probably do a Google search of "statute of limitations civil rights (State)" to start finding out the specifics for the state you reside in.
