The Libertarian Party was founded in 1971 by David Nolan. The Party believes in economic and political libertarianism which is the least amount of government control or regulation on society or the economy. The Tea Party is a movement of people who seek fiscal responsibility. TEA is an acronym for "Taxed Enough Already." The movement is generally thought of as made up primarily of people who are conservative and libertarian, but there is a number of liberals and progressive thinkers in it as well.
