The Canadian Government and general populace contributed by sending men to fight, women and men to do medical care, sent tons of food for the forces and the people of the United Kingdom. They sent raw materials so planes, ships, and fighting equipment could be manufactured. They also helped to build the atomic bomb at a location along a river. They thought they were protecting their nation and the US when they interned the Japanese Canadians but that was eventually rectified.

The women and men ineligible to fight worked hard to support the troops with manufacturing goods and growing food for them. They bought war bonds in Canada and in the United States both. If it had not been for the effort of the Canadians the Britons would not have survived World War 2. Sadly, hundreds of merchant marines sacrificed their lives to deliver the goods the UK so desperately needed from Canada.
