Columbus did not eat only five foods. He would have died if he did.He ate molasses, cheese, honey , raisins , rice, corn, nuts, legumes and lentils, fish and meat and olives.Personally, i feel he did not eat corn, because he brought back corn from West Indies.
Spanish. It is a fallacy that he was Italian because it is known he spoke Spanish, wrote in Spanish and was married to a Spanish nobel woman. Historians now think that his was from a noble Spanish family ( one reason he would be able to do all the above) who were political rivals of the court so he changed his name to Columbus to gain the crown's support.
He sailed west instead of east because he didn't know the existence of North and South America. That's why he bumped into the Americas and thought it was the East Indies. He thought he had found another way, but he really didn't. If he had known about the Americas, he wouldn't have gone that way. He believed that the earth was round and that you could go West to reach India instead of sailing East. Many people did not believe the earth was round or that the earth was so large you couldn't go around it.
Many people recognize Christopher Columbus as the person to discover the New World. Without his discovery many people feel that the United States would not be in existence today. For this reason they celebrate Columbus Day in recognition of this event.
we feel like it
there was another continent out there.
He wasn't born in Genoa. Historians believe he was Spanish. He wrote in Spanish, was married to a Spanish Nobel woman, and it is possible his family was political rivals of the Spanish crown.

In conclusion, the Spanish did not treat the Native Americans properly. They killed the Native Americans, sold them as slaves, and so on. That is not the right thing to do. They should have treated them differently, with respect. What if that was them? How would they feel? They didn't deserve any of the things they been through. They were innocent people who just crumbled in a cruel man's hands. That man was Christopher Columbus. In my opinion, Christopher Columbus is a murderer and did all the wrong things. I am not and will never be, on his side. GO NATIVE AMERICANS!
proud(:
in spanish, "sentir" means "to feel". its a stem changing verb.
