Geography and climate determined the kinds of crops and vegetables that grew around Rome and the Mediterranean. The Roman diet was essentially a Mediterranean one. Important crops were wheat and barley. Grapes and olives were the most commercially important fruit. The mild winters of the Mediterranean meant that the Romans did not need to wear fur coats like the peoples in northern Europe. A toga over a tunic for men and a limbus over a stola (female versions of the toga and tunic) were enough. Women also used shawls. Wool was the most commonly used fabric. Soldiers stationed in colder areas wore hide coats.

settlement Geography
Geography and climate impact where people live by dictating available resources, such as water and arable land, as well as natural hazards like hurricanes or earthquakes. These factors influence settlement patterns, with people often choosing to live in areas with more favorable conditions. Additionally, climate can determine aspects of daily life, such as type of housing, clothing, and economic activities.

basically the people must adapt to their surroundings, and the temperature of where they live. Some examples are maybe if you live in Alaska You might want to wear heavy dark colored clothes. But if you live in California or Florida you might wear light clothing that are lighter colors to reflect the sunlight.
Geography can impact a civilization through its resources, such as land for agriculture and water for sustenance, shaping their economy and lifestyle. It also influences the interactions and connections between civilizations, affecting trade routes, cultural exchanges, and the spread of ideas.

While I don't know much about the physical geography of Antarctica, I know that not very many people live there. If anyone there's only a few researchers and maybe a colony or two that migrated there from the Southern tip of South America, so human geography might be slightly difficult to determine. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
