Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Indpendence at the age of 33. He was in France with Adams and Franklin for negotiations in the revolution, but took part in the constitution. He was president, inventor, writer of various books and thoughts on government, and helped start the Library of Congress by a donation of 6,000 books.
