You should specify which Cassius you are referring to. This is a surname and there were several important people in Rome who were called Cassius.
I guess you are referring to Gaius Cassius Longinus, one of the leaders of the conspiracy to assassinate Julius Caesar. He never ruled Rome. He was a senator. After the murder of Caesar he fled to the eastern part of the Roman Empire where he had the support of several provincial governors. He assembled an army and engaged Publius Cornelius Dolabella, a supporter of Caesar, at Laodicea (in Syria) and defeated him. He then moved westward and joined his fellow conspirator Brutus at Smyrna (in western turkey) to fight the forces of the Second Triumvirate (an alliance between the Caesarians Mark Antony, Octavian and Lepidus). He sacked the island of Rhodes, while Brutus sacked Lycia (in south-western Turkey). The two men then crossed into Greece where they were defeated at the Battle of Philippi. Cassius got one of his freedmen to kill him.
The triumvirate wants to rule rome. Brutus and cassius are raising an army outside of rome to defy them. They too want to rule rome.
Gladiators never ruled Rome. They were professional fighters mainly used for entertainment purposes.
they argued for who would rule rome so romulus killed remus with stones so he could rule rome but romulus regrets it. Rome s named after remus becaused he died THE END he is dead and gone now
This quote is from the play "Julius Caesar" by William Shakespeare. In this line, Cassius is speaking to Brutus, trying to persuade him to join the conspiracy against Caesar. Cassius is telling Brutus that if he knows where he intends to use the dagger (symbolizing the act of killing Caesar), then Cassius will deliver the dagger to him and set him free from his shackles (metaphorically referring to the burden of Caesar's rule).
Cassius states that Caesar is no greater than he or Brutus (by birth), and is indeed a lesser man physically. So he feels it is wrong that he should be the one and only power in Rome, especially a Rome that was a Republic -- and therefore all Roman men share political equality (ideally). He also implies later that Caesar doesn't really like him and that upsets him: he isn't part of Caesar's inner circle.

Rome didn't, it was the Emperor who lived in Rome that did this.
