The war in Iraq in its early stages was mainly one using armored fighting vehicles (tanks) in an open desert location with minimum numbers of civilians in the areas of operation to be injured, only the enemy. This was very similar to the war in the Western desert of Libya between the British and Commonwealth forces and the German and Italian forces, heat, sand, dust, water in short supply, and fuel re-supply always needed,a fast moving enemy, great distances to be covered, tired men. Democracy fighting against Tyranny.

In nothing!!! World War 2 involved 3/4 of world Population in that time. Irak War is a little war but is important because is nwer and not common. The opossing nations where much more equals in all respects that the Irak War. (Irak is still a poor country)

The word Iraq is spelled with a 'q' not a 'k' so your opinion or 'answers' is irrelevant because you can't spell a simple word like "Iraq."

The only similarities between the two wars is that they are both bloody and the only difference between them is that the machines used in the war in Iraq are much more advanced than the one used in World War 1

The technology was much different.. no comparison. we are much more advanced now and have more experience.. We have more destructive & powerful weapons. also, women were not allowed to fight during WW1. Now, they are equally serving in the military alongside men. I think WW1 had more alliances. (Austria-Hungary, Germany, Europe, France, Russia, US Great Britain and etc. They are the same in that we have passion for defending our country/helping other countries. We show support and care for our troops and the soldiers' familes then and now. America is a great country!

* Both were wars. * Both involved the US. * Both involved dictatorships. * Both had lives lost in them. * Both involved European countries. I'm sure there are many more similiarities... depending on how broad you want to be.

None when compared to fighting the Germans & Japanese. The German and Japanese military forces were competent and determined foes during WWII; the Iraqi military was far from it.
