∙ 6y agoSince the British took property from some Bostonians, shot others and forced some people out of their homes, many were pretty unhappy with them.
The Bostinians were angry with the British troops in their town because the British were taxing them heavily in order to pay for the cost of the French and Indian war. The British used methods like the Stamp Act and the Navigation Acts to get more money. When the British saw the colonists getting angrier and getting close to the state of rebellion, they sent in troops to Boston to control the colonists. This eventually caused the Boston Massacre, in which seven British soldiers fired into an American crowd, killing five colonists.
The purpose of Operation Shoebox is to support British troops. The way this is achieved is it gives soldiers a feel of home. It shows that people still care about them, they are not forgotten and that they are still loved.
He was reluctant, but he needed the troops.
The colonists felt that the British government had no right to tax them because there were not any representatives of the colonies in the British Parliament. The colonies had no say in how much the taxes should be or what they should pay for. They didn't think this was fair.

1. French blockaded port, keeping the British in the city! 2. General Layette, a Frenchman employed by the Americans, refused to launch a speculative attack, keeping the British cooped up in the city! When Washington and additional troops showed up, the British surrendered. Thus, the USA exists only because of the French.
1) 9/11 2) Seeing images of troops returning home, realizing the sacrifices they've made and how little I have done for the country.
