There were several conflicts between the Jamestown Colony and the Native Americans in the area. One was the usage of Native land for cleared farmland. The Native Americans generally did not clear land of trees before planting crops.
wealth and power
When the men landed to form the Jamestown colony they had problems with the native Americans in the area. They built a fort and within the first six months of the 107 who landed only 44 were still alive. This is due to a combination of disease and attacks by the local Native Americans. So, the interactions between the colonist and the Native Americans wasn't very good.
No one protested the treatment of Native Americans. In fact the Native Americans outnumbered the 104 men. There was an empire of 15,000 Native Americans.
Algonquian Indians
Not Really. The Jamestown settlers came and took their land, and also brought with them diseases that the native Americans had never came into contact with before.
The name of the towns that provided havens for Native Americans were: Allentown Jamestown Prophetstown
