The Prisoners of War were treated very well in Vietnam. In fact, the Northern Vietnamese army was forced to buy out of the high-class hotels in order to accommodate the Americans that had been captured during the war. The communists made sure to give hospital care to those that were injured or wounded, and the care given was quite outstanding.
