Scientists have always reached their conclusions by means of observation and reasoning, whether in the middle ages or at any other time.
During the Middle Ages, scientists relied heavily on philosophical and religious beliefs to guide their research and conclusions. They often used deductive reasoning based on previous knowledge rather than experimental evidence. The Church also played a significant role in shaping scientific thought during this time period.
Scientists use a combination of historical records, archaeological evidence, and scientific analysis of artifacts and materials from the Middle Ages to reach their conclusions. By examining written accounts, studying physical remains, and applying modern scientific techniques, researchers can piece together a more accurate understanding of the time period. Cross-referencing multiple sources and collaborating with experts across different fields help ensure the reliability of their conclusions.

Aristarchus of Samos was one of the first Greek astronomers to propose a heliocentric model of the solar system, with the Sun at the center instead of the Earth. He also accurately estimated the sizes of the Sun, Earth, and Moon, and calculated the distance to the Moon using lunar eclipses. His work laid the foundation for later astronomers, such as Copernicus, who expanded on the heliocentric model.
