People want to fit in, this is a fact of human nature. If everyone in your culture/country is doing something, no matter how horrible it is, most people will go along with it, especially if the government sanctions it. That being said most Germans didn't know that it was happening (or convinced themselves they didn't), and a lot of the ones that did had been brainwashed into thinking that the Jews were a secret, evil and organized group bent on control of the world and destruction of the German people. That is, of course, absurd but as I stated most people believe what they are told to believe. If you are saying to yourself, "no one is that stupid" you should realize that RIGHT NOW many powerful governments (YOUR government, if you live in an industrialized country) mandate the wholesale killings of any group of people that gets in their way... as you, with the rest of the citizenry, looks on with only mild interest. It seems normal to you because no one around you acts like its strange. However, in 50 years, people will wonder how YOU allowed these things to happen.
The Nazi Party of Germany allowed the Holocaust to happen so the German people would be unified against the Jewish people.
The Holocaust was a genocide, not a suicide. Some people may have done that but I believe most people still wanted to live.
Oh, it's okay, friend. The Holocaust was a tragic event where millions of people, mostly Jewish, were persecuted and killed during World War II. It's important to remember and honor their memory by learning about their stories and ensuring such atrocities never happen again. Let's focus on spreading love and kindness in the world today.
Adolf Hitler was behind the atrocities of the Holocaust.
The Idea of education about the Auschwitz concentration camps were that to let people at a young age know; What is it Who was it for What Happened to it This is basically giving them a main idea about Auschwitz and the holocaust, In goal to let nothing what happened in Auschwitz to happen ever again.
The Treaty of Versailles did not 'let the holocaust happen'. You are making too many leaps. Even when Hitler came to power it was not obvious that there would be a holocaust.
A better question is why did we let it happen.
The Nazi Party of Germany allowed the Holocaust to happen so the German people would be unified against the Jewish people.
There will always be a chance that a holocaust could happen anywhere and to any group of people.
He committed suicide.
It was the day that Auschwitz was liberated.
The Holocaust was a genocide, not a suicide. Some people may have done that but I believe most people still wanted to live.
Oh, dude, the Holocaust usually happens during World War II, specifically from 1941 to 1945. It was a pretty dark time in history, like the ultimate party foul on a global scale. So yeah, definitely not a fun time for anyone involved.
There has been no Australian holocaust.
Hitler was a big fan of the Holocaust - he thought it was a swell idea to exterminate millions of innocent people just because of their religion, ethnicity, or beliefs. He even went so far as to orchestrate the whole shebang, resulting in one of the darkest chapters in human history. In short, he was a real piece of work.
Recapture meant death.
because people haven't changed.
