It was transportation.
first of all you are wrong, the life in the south was harder by transportation than the north was. In the 1800s in the south there was over 10,000 miles of railroad track's north had a better transportation way in everything, more railroads, roads, and canal's, the north was filled exceptionally with canal's. The south only had a few good and easy ways of transportation.
Several factors could bring about positive change or improvements to my life. Proper alignment of priorities would be a strong contributor to that positive improvement.
It was great
The pioneers started to move from the east and midwest to the west in the mid 1800s looking for gold and better life.
The U.S. rapidly expanded economically from an agrarian nation into an industrial power. Industrialization in America involved 2 important developments. 1st, transportation was expanded. 2nd, improvements were made to industrial processes such as the use of interchangeable parts & railroads to ship goods more quickly.
