There is no evidence he did. Galileo went blind late in life- possibly his eyesight was damaged from observing sunspots without dark lenses. Kepler wore eye glasses, but did not, too my knowledge go blind. Tycho Brahe did not, to my knowledge have visual problems of any kind- Kepler wore specs, and yes, Galileo did lose his sight completely- but late in life.
Tycho Brahe died on October 24, 1601 at the age of 54.
people get blind and some times get deaf also..............

Johannes Kepler,(German)
A "Tyco Brahe" may be alive, but the famous astronomer and alchemist born Tyge Ottesen Brahe is most certainly not. he died, 24 October 1601!!
Tycho Brahe needed Johannes Kepler to mathematically analyze and interpret his extensive observational data on planetary motion. Kepler's expertise in mathematics and physics helped him develop his three laws of planetary motion, which were based on Brahe's accurate observations and laid the foundation for Isaac Newton's laws of motion and universal gravitation.
Tycho never had a telescope to use. All of his observations were so-called "naked-eye" observations.
It is credited to Galileo however many men worked with the first telescopes to make astounding discoveries. Tyco Brahe is one of the first. There is a large crator on the moon named for him.
