No, he just 'brain-washed' them into believing that Hitler's view were the best so that when they were older they would vote for him. If he wanted them to follow him he wouldn't starve them.
I'm sure that there was a mix in the group of children, but their officers told the kids to tell them if their parents complained about Hitler Youth
Hitler created the Hitler Youth in order to indoctrinate the youth of Germany into believeing Nazi Ideals like Jewish people are bad. It is easy to get young children to believe anything if you tell them the same thing over and over again, that is why he created the Hitler Youth. Hitler expected that from his Hitler Youth the children would grow up with his ideals and therefore not rebel against him. He also was training the young boys in the Hitler youth for the military.
Hitler never had any children of his own. He considered the Hitler Youth his children since they were so loyal to him. Many fought in the war for him and some died for him.

The youth of Hitler were the little children of Germany .they were taking drugs and persecuting and harming the Jewish people.
The purpose of the Hitler youth was to start teaching children at a young age the Nazi ways.
The Hitler youth was a youth group. The name often is used to inclued both the hitler youth for boys and the league of german maidens for girls. Boys did activities like camping and military skills. Girls did steroetype womens activities like cleaning and cooking and where prepared for motherhood. Both were encouraged to keep fit with sports and indoctrinated(brainwashed) with nazi ideas. The youth group was important to hitler because the young people would be his future supporters and indoctrination at young age secured his long term power. They would also be his future soldiers. Girls were important because hitler wanted to expand the currently small german population so he would have more supporters and a bigger army. Women and girls were encouraged to have big families and lots of children. Mothers were awarded bronze silver and gold mothers crosses for having 4, 6, or 8 children!
