Is there proof of gas chambers during the Holocaust?

The gas chambers themselves. If you can stay awake through a movie called "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" there is a part where Ben Stein himself tours an old gas chamber with a friend who studies them (Ben Stein is Jewish) Also there are a fair few survivors of the Holocaust who can tell you what it was like and that the gas chambers actually did exist.

not much. The first method tried for mass extermination was by German Army soldiers shooting hundreds of the undesirables at once (not just Jews, but Gypsies, the mentally ill or physically deformed, opponents of the Reich, Christian intellectuals and others). This was not only inefficient, it left many of the soldiers traumatized. The next method was gassing by carbon monoxide, which was not the perfect solution because it sometimes took too long and only hundreds of prisoners could be killed at a time. When most people refer to the gas chambers, they refer to the extermination chambers at Auschwitz, Birkenau, Belzac, Chelmo, Treblinka, Sorbidor, and Majdanek that used the delousing agent Zyklon-B. Some Nazis proudly claimed they could kill as many as 3,000 people per hour, hour after hour (with some delay while the Sonderkommandos carried out the dead bodies to the nearby crematoria after each gassing). There were some complaints that even these gas chambers could not keep up with the high numbers of undesirables, especially Jews in the waning days of the war. Estimates of the total number of people killed by Zyklon-B run as high as 3,000,000.

Sounds pretty effective to me.
