1778. The siege of Fort Boonesborough took place September 1778. It lasted for 10 days and Daniel Boone lead the defense of the fort.

He sailed to Mexico, but ended up in Mexico City looking for gold and wealth. Mexico City is inland so he had to walk there. He didn't know the city existed.

Francisco Vazquez de Coronado's expedition (known as the Coronado Expedition) in search of the Seven Cities of Gold was not ultimately successful in finding the fabled riches. However, the expedition did lead to the discovery of the Grand Canyon and other notable geographic landmarks in the American Southwest. Despite its lack of gold, the expedition marked a significant advancement in the exploration and mapping of the region.
The Wilderness road was a road made by Daniel Boone for the Transylvania Company from Fort Chiswell in Virginia through the Cumberland Gap that went through the Appalachians (to trans-Appalachia, which went to the west) .It was among the first paved roads in the US and its name was changed to the US Highway 25. Lewis and Clark did, hence the expedition's name. Clark was supposed to be second banana, but Lewis wanted him to co-lead the expedition. Lewis let Clark co-lead as soon as they left.
