1934: Rosa receives her high school diploma in Chicago

1943: She serves as secretary of the Montgomery branch of the NAACP until 1956.

1945: After three attempts, she registers to vote.

1955: On December 1, Rosa refuses to give up her seat to a white passenger on the bus. She is then arrested and sparks the Montgomery bus boycott, which lasts for 381 days.
