TO see the monument of the presidents faces caved in the rock.
Mt. Rushmore depicts four American presidents of historical significance: Washington, Jefferson, T. Roosevelt, and Lincoln. The sculpture was a massive undertaking; there is nothing else like it in the world. To use circular logic, it is important because people go there to see it.
There are hiking trails anyone can take that go very close to the base of Mount Rushmore. Only maintenance staff are allowed access to the faces and VIP tours to the top of Mount Rushmore may be requested. Some areas of Mount Rushmore are open for climbing if you get permission and the proper permits.
Not many movies at all come to think of it. There are some patriotic movies that have Mount Rushmore in them, but as far as indie films go, i cannot think of many. One movie I can think of though, is The second National Treasure with Nicolas Cage. The movie takes place around Mount Rushmore the movie ends in front of Mount Rushmore next to the gift shop. Not a very widely used location, but a great location for anyone who wants to film a movie there someday.
First of all, there is no place to go "in the noses". There are only depressions in the rock which form the nostrils. The only ones allowed to be on the actual faces on Mount Rushmore are those who do the maintenance work. Those workers would be the only ones who climb the noses.

I don't know what age you are, but you can make it out of paper/glue (paper mache.) Take strips of paper and use slightly water-down glue you can get at any craft shop (the white glue that dries clear.) Let harden, and when shaped and finish then use craft paints to give it a more realistic look. Go onto the Internet and look up a picture of Mount Rushmore so you can get as much detail into your project as possible.
