It took a long time, but he did come out of the coma. Unfortunately, he didn't recognize many of us and things he once loved he has a distaste for now. He can't play his Electric Guitar any longer, but can tell you the dates, names of any band out there. The mind is an incredible mass of circuitry. Sometimes impending death comes so quickly the person doesn't know what hit them.
