Kills them

-Actually, it doesn't. The 'study' which 'proved' that was completely flawed and biased. Therefore, all claims that state weed kills brain are baseless, and should be disregarded completely.

Weed has various positive effects on the body, including but not limited to - Cancer fighting agents(weed is an antioxidant(see below)), Helps with Asthma(the smoke weed produced opens up alveoli opposed to the smoke from tobacco which restricts alveoli) Basically it's a proven bronchodialator and safe as long as you vaporize rather than smoke, which deposits some tar. Reduces the risk of developing Alzheimer's. (See below)

There are no long term damaging effects from weed, it is not addictive, nobody has ever died from smoking weed, and the amount of weed it would take to 'overdose' (ingest too much THC) is 1500 pounds within 15 minutes. (I don't know about you, but I haven't even seen one pound of weed in my life.)

It's hundreds of times less toxic than caffeine.

Point is, most people are largely ignorant of how weed effects the body.

It offers neuroprotection, meaning it protects nerves and brain cells. There is also some evidence that it may facilitate brain cell development. The US DHS confirms the scientific research that marijuana can be used as a neuroprotectant and antioxidant, it hold the patent to these uses patent no. 6630507

No. The rumor that weed kills brain cells comes from an experiment done in the early 1970's in which scientists put gas masks on three monkeys and pumped each mask full of about 5x the normal dose of marijuana smoke. The monkeys lost some brain cells and they quickly blamed the marijuana. However, it was later discovered that the brain cells died due to lack of oxygen because the monkeys were not allowed to breathe in between inhaling nothing but smoke.

No, brain cells never grow back. Once they're dead, they're dead.
