You don't have to take medication, but, depending on the severity, I would highly recommend it. Medication helps so much, with everything from remembering to brush one's hair in the morning to getting straight As. I have ADHD, I know what it's like, and to me, medication is a blessing on many levels. Without it, I would barely have any of the wonderful things I have today.
