A lot has been written about the healing properties of magnets. Companies selling magnets say that all our cells have an electrical charge and the magnets enhance the natural electricity of the body. This seems to be true because our bodies are made up of water, proteins and electrolytes. However double blind tests have not shown any magnet to have any benefit. Paid agents for manufacturers say that they help reduce pain and swelling. My personal view is that magnets do not help in any way. Sale of magnets for therapeutic purposes is a marketing gimic.
