No, not at all. Methadone is a pretty hardcore opiate, with notable effects lasting 24 hours for some. Trazodone is an old time anti depressant, now used more for its sedative effects in the treatment of insomnia. Trazodone can be taken easily in doses of 100 mg for sleep, while taking that much methadone could be harmful.
I'm actually on here looking for an answer to this question because I was trying to find out if anyone has had the same experience that I'm currently having. I'm pretty sure that the trazadone is counteracting the effects of my methadone. I've been on methadone for almost 6 years now, and during that time I've been on an array of different psych meds, but this is the first time I've had trazadone since before I started methadone.
I just started trazadone a little over a week ago and though prior to that I still had occasional heroin cravings, as soon as I started trazadone I've had unbearable cravings. Where I'm at at the moment I don't have a car and have no access to heroin, but if I did I would've started using again, and if this doesn't let up, I will when I get an opportunity.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure that there's an interaction between these two drugs. My methadone isn't holding me as long as it should, I'm sicker in the morning than I should be and all I can think about since starting the trazadone is getting high. I decided not to take it last night (my psychiatrist put me on it for anxiety, because I'm not aloud to have benzos, which it doesn't help at all, and to help me sleep at night), and I'm feeling a bit better last night. Rather than my regular using dreams last night I had normal dreams again, and I'm not obsessing right now.
If anyone else is having the same effects please post!
Yes, it is the same.
No, benzos are benzos, methadone tests as methadone.

No, Methadone will only show up as methadone and hydrocodone will show up as an opiate.

Yes, trazodone HCl refers to trazodone hydrochloride, which is the active ingredient in the medication. Both terms can be used interchangeably.
No, Ritalin will show up on a standard UA as an amphetamine but they have to do a separate, specific test to test for methadone.
