most hair testing is done with 1.5 inches of hair...typically going back 90 days...so if they follow that standard, you should be clean for that time period.
however, it is possible, if someone REALLY wanted to, and i havnt heard of anyone doing...you could take the next 1.5 inches of hair and test that as a separate test, and itd show.
But to fully answer your question...it remains in the hair follicle till it grows out and is cut...the levels may diminish with time and washing, but itll still be there.
Hair on your arms tests back....for almost a year.
