About a week usually. Suboxen (actually its called Suboxone) is a miracle drug. It all depends on you really. In a rehab they will have you take Suboxone everyday, gradually reducing the mg until your off of it. Which some people do for two weeks, a month or more. I think that is unnecessary though. Taking just one Suboxone will help with your entire detox. But what I have done in the past is just take one every time I feel sick. Usually that's every other day, and that ends up being only 6 days. Really it depends on if your willing to feel just a little bit sick. If you need to get clean fast then just take one, then wait and if you feel REALLY bad again take another. You should be clean in no time.
I have been on cocaine and pain killers for about 8 years now and i take a quarter piece of suboxone a day(2 mgs) and it helps with the pain and sickness.
It is a lengthy process to wean off of suboxone. This drug has a 36 hour half life. It isn't recommended to go cold turkey, because withdrawal symptoms can be severe. Depending on various factors such as how long a person has been on it and what their dosage is, the timeline for detoxing completely takes anywhere from a few weeks, to several months, or more.
Suboxine (buprenorphine-naloxone) is an opioid. It does have a fairly long half-life of 36 hours. In other words, in 36 hours, your blood level of this drug would be reduced by 50%; in 72 hours, your blood level would be reduced by 25%; in 108 hours, your blood level would be reduced by another 12.5%, and so on.
It depends on how long and how much opiates you were using. There is no painless way so get that out of your head. The suboxone makes it a whole lot easier. Someone with a serious opiate habit has to let there self go into FULL withdrawal before starting the subs and even then it might take a day or so to kick in. I suggest you take no more than two 8-mlgrm tabs a day for about two weeks then one 8-mlgrm tab for a week and then go to a half for a week then a quarter for a week and then stop and be glad you didn't have to do it without the subs and never do opiates again.
As long as you make it take.
At least 2 days.
Will first you need to get off methadone or be on at least 5mg. And then the doctor can put you on suboxone.
defeats the purpose but, if your on suboxone, you wont feel the pain killers no matter how many you take (because of the narcan), you would have to be off suboxone for 3 days at least before you can take any narcotics for pain.
suboxone
Suboxone requires tapering. If you have used it for a three to four day detox, then it should only take the last day to day and a half to taper off of it, by cutting the usual 8/2 twice a day dose in half (e.g. 1/2 pill twice a day for one day), then in half again (e.g. 1/2 pill once a day for the last day of detox). However, if Suboxone has been used for a longer period of time, then more gradual tapering is desirable. As always, it is best to consult with your prescribing physician.
Do NOT take methadone to get off Suboxone. Taper off Suboxone over 10 days. Cut the pills in eighths if you have to. Taking methadone for 5 days will only give you 2 addictions
3 days, but from a lot of personal experience, it feels like 8-12 hours.
If you're trying to get high on suboxone after being on it to get you off opiates, you should probably go back to rehab.
suboxone ...saved my life....also subutex and methadone....but methadone is highly addictive as well....the one with the highest success rate is suboxone....a.k.a.beuprenorphine/naloxone.....good luck and hang in there....youve got to want it for it to work
Yes, but ONLY after u have tapered to a 30mg methadone dose, THEN detox for 24 hours, and when u are in clear signs of withdrawal, then u can take a very low suboxone dose (1/2 a pill or so). if u do not do this, you will go through extreme withdrawal, which is 10 times worse than regular withdrawal. take my word for this, it is not something you want to mess around with
No, taking the suboxone will cause you to withdrawl from the methadone NEVER take those two together or you will withdrawl severely and possibly worse can happen. If you are wanting off methadone then I suggest suboxin but never combine those two together, EVER>
