Absolutely - it affects your ability to heal properly.
Depending on the procedure (if there's bone involved or if it was just a micro-diskectomy), any smoker, whether it be tobacco or grass, will take longer to heal. In many cases when a fusion is involved, a bone growth stimulator may be ordered by the surgeon for the patient to be worn for the 3 months minimum it takes a normal person (non-smoker) to fully fuse bone.
The reason behind this is that smoking reduces the amount of oxygen available to your bloodstream, and it's that O2 rich blood that is key to bone and tissue healing. The lower your oxygen content, the longer it will take to heal. So even if you had a procedure not involving bone, you're still going to take longer to heal if you keep smoking grass, as it actually reduces the O2 in your system even more than tobacco does.
If you're smoking due to increased pain and the stuff your doctor gave you isn't cutting it, document your pain with a pain diary (you can get one at Painfoundation.org, or just make one yourself - formal ones are better though) over time so that you can show evidence that you're having pain that your meds aren't dealing with. Without it, you can just look like someone wanting stronger pain drugs, and trust me, you don't want that label, whether true or not. Raven
No! carlito is not coming back because on the news they find out he was smoking marijuana nd drugs!!!!!
My probation officer told me 5-7 days after smoking.
During War. It helped them communicate with nature, and they lost the war because they were always stoned lol
No. They are not connected.
Smokers should stop or cut back on smoking prior to surgery.
Its different for males and females. For males, it can slow the sperm down and confuse them especially whilst high. After being high things will get back to normal. For females however, smoking cannabis has no effect on the reproductive system. Hope it helped x
Technically no, because marijuana does not damage brains in the first place. http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/news/20030701/heavy-marijuana-use-doesnt-damage-brain
marijuana normally can be detected up to 28 days after smoking or eating but beware if your getting a hair folicle drug test these can go back as far as 6 months
A blunt is a cigar filled with marijuana. People buy cheap cigars, split them open, and dump out the tobacco. Then they replace the tobacco with marijuana, and wrap them back up again.
No! That would be pointless. You would be putting THC back into your system, while tying to get it out. Quit smoking pot!
Marijuana use, even long term chronic use does not cause many adverse effects and even those that it does cause go away with time. Memory might be slightly affected by smoking 10 years but it will come back in a few weeks.
Marijuana has many, usually negative impacts on a person's body and state of mind. Smoking marijuana lowers testosterone levels in men and estrogen levels in women. Basically, it makes men more feminine and women more masculine (eek!) It also apparently causes psychological addiction to it, rather than a physical addiction like other drugs, such as cocaine. On top of these risks, the smoking of the marijuana itself has negative impacts on your lungs, although the impact of the smoking itself is actually has fewer negative effects on your body than commercial cigarettes (in short, smoking marijuana is healthier for your lungs than smoking cigarettes). The smoking of marijuana also kills brain cells, like many other drugs. Brain cells do not repair/grow back, so you are basically making yourself stupid. It causes chronic fatigue, excess hunger, and a generally cloudy mind. It also greatly slows your reaction time, similar to being intoxicated due to alcohol.
