Marijuana itself doesn't make you fat, but it can make you hungry, and if you eat too much you'll get fat. If you get fat from the pot making you snacky, then you're smoking too much anyway and you're going to have worse problems. If you smoke moderately, it shouldn't be an issue.

Yes it does, it actually nearly doubles your metabolism, making your body burn fat at a much faster pace. The catch is, however, is that the higher rate of metabolism gives you MUNCHIES, giving you an irresistible sweet-tooth that is VERY hard to satisfy, the munchies can easily zero-out the weight loss. What I do is smoke a few bowls or a joint at night so that the high quickly puts me to sleep while maintaining the doubled rate of metabolism. By the time I wake up, my body is far from high and, as long as I don't "wake 'n bake", I can get up to a brand new day. After a couple weeks, or even days, of this practice, you will begin to notice the body you had back in the good ol' days :)

The only side effect that might make it hard to lose weight is the munchies.

However, just because the munchies makes you very hungry (and that only happens sometimes,) doesn't mean you can't eat healthy foods while you have them!

So instead of unravelling those chocolate bars and candy wrappers, buy some untasty healthy foods. Untasty because it will still taste great when you're high.

It will not demotivate you unless you're a generally lazy person, and even then, it's all up to you with what you do with your body, sober or not.

If you get stoned right before excercising, it can actually increase your focus and your determination (I know this first hand, I've worked out for years completely sober, and worked out for years completely high.)

Just always keep your goals in mind whenever using any mind-altering substance!
