I can't find anything online to definitively answer this question, but this was my experienc last night: I took a Zicam before bed, then about twenty minutes later took two Benadry. I woke up hot and cold and twitchy. Then I threw up a ton and felt a lot better. Not sure how much of this was the combo of the medicine or some mystery ailment, but my stomach hasn't bothered me since last night, so I'm inclined to think it has something to do with the medicine I took.
Promethazine (Brand Name: PHENERGAN) Diphenhydramine (Brand Name: BENADRYL) These medications can safely be taken in combination therapy together. Phenergan is widely used to treat nausea/vomiting and comes in an injectable, suppository and pill form and can only be obtained with a prescription. Benadryl, commonly used for allergies (itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezing) Benadryl can be bought over the counter for as needed use. Just follow your Doctors orders with Phenergan and the label directions with Benadryl.
Zicam is a name derived from the two words zinc and the protein ICAM-1. Zicam nasal gel treats cold and flu symptoms, but also provides allergy relief and nasal congestion relief.
Zicam is reputed to cause a loss of smell in some users. This has been a source of major complaint from many users of Zicam and they were even faced with lawsuits because of permanent injury cases.
Yes, mupirocin can be safely used with oxygen. There are no known interactions between mupirocin and oxygen that would affect their effectiveness or safety when used together.
Yes; Benadryl can be used for dog allergies. You should check with your veterinarian as to the correct dosage since it is based on the dogs weight.
No, it's an anti-histamine. It can also be used off-label as a sleep medication. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diphenhydramine
Yes. You can take them at the same time. They are both antihistamines, but Allegra is a long-acting antihistamine and Benadryl is a short-acting antihistamine. Fexofenadine is Allegra. I have been given both at the same time to treat a severe sinus infection. You may get very drowsy or run down. But you will be ok. Because of this, it is recommended that Allegra be taken in the morning on a regular schedule and Benadryl be taken at night when needed to help with sleep issues due to allergies.
While Benadryl or diphenhydramine can be used safely for dogs, if proper dosage is carefully applied, diphenhydramine is not an anticonvulsant, and as such will likely not work for this application. In short, not deadly; not effective either.
Yes. Sedatives and tranquilizers should not be used with Benadryl. But I could locate no warnings about tylenol. Myself, I don't like taking stuff together unless I have no choice. So maybe take these two meds an hour or so apart, and not at the same time.
the answer is dead
Yes, Benadryl contains diphenhydramine which could potentially be used in the illicit production of certain drugs like methamphetamine. It is important to use Benadryl only as directed and to store it securely to prevent misuse.
They can be used safely by wearing protection i.e. condom's when having sex and ear muffs for noise reduction
