First...Benadryl for toddlers is regarded as a bad thing unless your doctor has stated it's safe.
I have a 22 month old daughter who is 35 inches tall...and 33 lbs (she's very tall for her age).
During her last major cold, her pedi told us she could take the normal Tylenol dose depending on whether it was infant or childrens suspension and 3/4 tsp of Benadryl.
If she's not taking the Tylenol, a 1tsp dose of Benadryl was allowed, but the combo of full doses of both caused her to be so drowsy she couldn't function.
I'm not a doctor, so please don't take my advice as solid or golden, but I know under medical supervision they will sometimes allow for the combo.
can you give a 10 year old Benadryl and an inhaler
In minute doses yes, but try Zyrtec (cetirizine) for allergy help.
My 3yr old daughter was on prednisolone for 2 days for bronchitis. The pharmacist advised us to give it to her after a meal to reduce stomach upset. I was recently on prednisone and my doctor advised me to take it before I ate
Is it high risk to take Levofloxacin, Prednisone, and Pro-Air together if you are 70 years old.
not unless directed otherwise by a pediatrician
My four year old just presented the same symptoms. Dr. called back and recommended benadryl suspension. Feels it is probably an insect bite. Will take her in to pediatrician in the morning.
Shut your mouth
None. Benadryl (generic name: diphenydramine) can have disastrous effects if given to children that young. Call your pediatrician or pharmacist for better options.
Half a bottle? Yeah, see your emergency room!
A child should not take Benadryl along with Claritin. These two medicines do pretty much the same thing. There would be a chance of overdosing if you gave your child both of these at the same time.
No, though the nurse may waken the child to administer Tylenol and/or Benadryl to reduce side effects from transfusion reactions.
Absolutely not. No, a 13-year-old should not take diet pills.
