I used to put a layer of paper towels down on the stain, then drip bleach straight from the bottle on the towels until the towels were soaked all the way through. Let them sit on the floor for about 5-10 minutes then wipe them up.

What is the best way to polish terrazzo floors, and can you recommend a professional service for this task?

Polishing terrazzo floors involves a multi-step process to restore their shine and durability. Here’s a general guide: Cleaning: Begin by thoroughly cleaning the floor to remove any dirt, grime, or stains. Use a pH-neutral cleaner specifically designed for terrazzo. Grinding: Use a diamond grinding machine to smooth out the surface and remove any scratches or imperfections. Start with a coarse grit and gradually move to finer grits. Honing: This step further smooths the surface using finer diamond abrasives, creating a pre-polished finish. Polishing: Use a high-speed polisher with polishing powders or pads designed for terrazzo. This will bring out the floor's natural shine. Sealing: Apply a high-quality terrazzo sealer to protect the surface and enhance its appearance. Epoxy-based terrazzo can sometimes be affected by water-based liquids and mild acids, but that would usually require a lot of liquid constantly on the surface. Cement terrazzo is very resistant to liquid damage or discoloration. A lack of shine is more likely a layer of dried juice on the surface.

If you drop soap on your bathroom floor is the floor clean or is the soap dirty?

The soap is always clean because the soap cannot get dirty. The floor doesn't get cleaned because the soap was just dropped, so it wasn't scrubbed around and wasn't able to clean it. So, I think that the soap is clean and the floor is dirty unless you have a clean floor.
