Same idea in the hospital, except that rather than a harmless buzz the radio waves could cause the equipment to give false readings, or put too much or too little drugs into the patient. However, the likelihood of problems ocurring is slight as all vital electronic equipment is supposed to be protected against interference, so not using mobile 'phones in hospitals is a "better safe than sorry" rule.
