It really depends on what sort of work you do and what sort of hernias you have. If they are groin ("inguinal") hernias then:
If your job is mainly sedentary (sitting) then you should be fine, unless you have a sudden increase in pain combined with vomiting and constipation (which is a medical emergency, so you should immediately go to hospital if this happens).
If your job involves lifting things or carrying heavy loads (even just bar or waitering work which means carrying more than 1kg/2lbs) then no - that will make the hernias worse. The risk is that you could have bit of bowel catch in the hernia and it could obstruct (leading to lots of pain and vomiting, as i mentioned before).
If you do a lot of lifting/carrying generally, cough a lot (like if you're a smoker) or you suffer from constipation, see a surgeon and get your hernias repaired - don't live with them - as they WILL get worse, more painful and more dangerous.
Good luck and I hope that helps.
Probably not. To receive unemployment you have to be willing and able to work.
I would definitely have the hernia repaired before you breed your dog. I work in an animal hospital, we had a pregnant dog come in with a puppy stuck in a hernia. It wasn't good, she and puppies died from infection because pup in hernia had died a while before the owners knew their was a problem.
Any hernia will hurt until repaired. If your hernia still hurt then there must be a reason. Your Local Doctor should be able to find that reason
a double hernia
I got injured at work went to dr. Said i have a hernia and will need surgery.
In the UK there are two main parts of a compensation claim for personal injury which can be made against an employer: 1. Pain and suffering for your hernia injury and 2. Financial losses as a result of suffering the hernia injury. So far as the pain and suffering is concerned the amount of compensation depends totally on the symptoms you have suffered from your hernia and whether these symptoms are long lasting. Using the related link below entitled "hernia injury compensation" - you can find examples of the range of compensation you can receive for different types of hernia injury, which in 2010 are up to £15,500.
Yes, most likely having a testicular hernia will not damage the ability of the testes to make and transport spermatazoa.
I had double hernia's last year, and I had two bladder infections leading to it. The doctor told me I probably had the hernia's for a few years. Since I had the hernia's repaired, I haven't had a bladder infection since. Personally I blame the bladder infections on the hernia's, the doctor said it was possible. My health was perfect (other then the hernia's) when I got the bladder infections, the chances are good in my option it "could" be the cause of a UTI.

About 4-5 weeks if your work involves heavy lifting
Another term for diaphragmatic hernia is a hiatal hernia.
