if you think or know that you have swallowed a wire, just follow these simple steps:
1. if you are unsure wither you have swallowed it or not, just carefully check the insides of your mouth.
2. if you are experiencing pain in the throat, excessive coughing or difficulty breathing, the bracket wire may have become lodged in your airway, and you should immediately contact your orthodontist or a nearby emergency care facility. if a person you trust is able to see the wire, they may carefully remove it if its possible, but shouldnt if they believe it will cause harm. \
tell the patient to calm down and call an emergency hotline or the closest hospital.
It has the same function as braces, but is only a wire. Like a retainer.
no it doesnt
a braces emotion is a smiley face that shows its braces in its mouth (wire criss cross metal squares on your teeth)
The rubber bands in braces are to cover the wire so that it does not scratch up your gums.
They are metal circles that they cement on your four back teeth, they help keep the wire on your teeth.
Orthodontists will want certain teeth extracted (usually premolars) to make more room in your mouth so they can align your teeth properly. Your mouth and jaw may be too small for all your teeth.
Braces are uncomfortable at first and quiet painful when they tighten them and but the wire on. but once you are used to them you will forget you have them
THeir located on the brackets with the little wire dealy connected to it
Yes, since during the beginning of braces there is s much to do, the wire will move the teeth quite a bit the first few weeks because the wire wants to be straight.
Special floss threaders are available to make flossing easier. Also if you have the glue on braces (unlike the wrap around, you just glue the brace on) the wire connecting the braces are in the way of flossing. So you have to use your floss and thread it into the wire and floss. (it's hard to floss the back ones) :(
I used a pair of wire cutters to remove mine.
The wire connected to the brackets shift your teeth into the shape of the wire. Thats why it hurts after the othodontist fixes them every 2 months
