go to the Chevrolet dealer and buy only syncromesh transmission fluid. do not add anything else it will ruin your transmission.

You failed to mention what fluid you accidentally put in. In any case, have the transmission fluid flushed out and replaced with the proper ATF right away.
it would be easier to use new brake fluid that doesnt trash paint. older brake fluid that trashes paint was made from vegetablr oils, newer fluids are synthetic and have not been detrimental to paint in years,unless you have really crappy paint to start with
