The stomach is made up of the following tisuues: * epithelial tissue * muscle tissue * nerve tissue and * connective tissue Therefore, the stomach is an organ because it is made up of a collection tissues that perform a specific function, that is, to aid digestion (breaking down large, insoluble and complex food substances into small soluble particles).
