If you are talking about what you should put on your eye lids before putting on mascara i would recommend eye primer. Eye primer will help the eyeshadow stick and stay all day. Then apply whatever eyeshadow :)

Because they are nerds: Acutally no, that person who just answered it is just stupid, anyways, if i put tape on my glasses does that classify me as a nerd? No, but anyways some people put tape on the middle because when they put their glasses on it feels greasy so if they put tape on it, it doesnt :)
The process is almost identical to the process for 2-piece canning lids. Choose plastisol lined lids with a "button" in the center of the lid. Wash them in mild soapy water, rinse, place in a pot of gently boiling water for 10 minutes then reduce the heat and keep hot until you use them. Tighten them down fingertip tight as you do with a 2-piece lid and process the same as for a 2-piece lid. Plastisol lids can take longer to seal, do not be worried if it takes an hour or more to hear the ping.
Yes, new wearers can find this difficult. You just need to use your other hand to hold open your lids. It is a good idea not to look at the lens but to focus on something else. You will learn by feel, and after time you will be able to slap those things in without holding your lids open.
Yes you put tape over a soup can
