yes, it could be; but the main problem with high blood pressure is that usually it doen't cause any symptoms. it could go without detecting for a long time while producing end organ damage such as kidney failure, heart attack, syncope, stroke, and other complications. that's why some people call high blood pressure the "silent killer"
