As you get older your teeth can thin down. If you think back you use your teeth all the time to bite and chew. If younger it can be caused by an over-bite. It's best to discuss this problem with your dentist.

Your dentist can tell you why the bone under your teeth is shrinking. it may be infection caused by poor dental hygiene. It may be from some other cause. No one can tell you without examining you.
