It seems as though you are referring to bulimia. However, bulimia is characterized by binge eating followed by purging (throwing up). Binge eating alone would probably just be considered food addiction.

Binge eating disorder is usually common in bulimics, who binge eat and then get rid of it from their system, whether it be from using laxatives, making themselves throw up, or exercising excessively. It's also common in compulsive/binge eaters. They binge just like bulimics do, except they don't try to get rid of the food.

That would be either bulimia nervosa, where the person will binge on an outrageous amount of food and then purge it by taking laxatives or throwing up, or it would be binge eating disorder, where the person eats an outrageous amount of food and does nothing to purge it from their system
