Sexually transmitted diseases are diseases caused by unsafe sex. Some STDs could possibly be deadly like HIV AIDS. You can live for a long time with AIDS if you treat it correctly, but it can't be cured. There are other STDs like herpes which is basically itchy sores around the genital area. That's not deadly at all, just uncomfortable. There are many other STDs. However, you can usually avoid them by having protected sex.

Whether STDs are deadly or not, it depends on the STD and whether they are treated. Untreated hepatitis, HIV and syphilis are fatal. Even warts and other lesions can turn into something fatal like cancer. However, depending on the STD, you can treat or cure it and reduce or stop the physical harm from it.

Answer:

Many STDs are fatal - some directly, some by causing cancer, some depending on which sex you are. Many like HIV/AIDS and syphilis get a lot of press some are not as well known. See link.

Most STDs are not life threatening, some of them can cause complications if they are not treated. The only STDs that can be life-threatening are HIV and HPV. Some types of HPV can cause Cervical cancer, if it's not treated then you can die from that.

Some STIs can cause death. Most, if treated, will not cause death. HIV can lower the immune system enough to let other infections cause death. Syphilis can also cause death in late, untreated stages.

Answer:

Most STDs are relatively harmless and can be cured or treated with medicine and/or antibiotics. HIV and AIDS, however, are an entirely different story. While the viruses themselves won't kill you, they severely weaken the body's immune system, thus lessening the ability for the body to fight other diseases and infection. Because of the severe depletion of the immune system, a cold, flu, or other disease that's relatively harmless to a normal person with a healthy immune system would be absolutely devastating to an HIV/AIDS affected system, possibly even leading to death.

Answer:

Absolutely, AIDS comes to mind as probably the most prominent killer STD. Many other STDs can lead to death if left untreated. Hepatitis C is another one that can lead to death.

Answer:

Yes, if it's not treated since you can be seriously ill. If you have it, make sure you inform your partner about it so they can take steps to protect themselves.

Unless there are complications associated with the herpes, herpes is not deadly.
Herpes can be deadly but rarely. This happens when the virus has spread and gone into more sensitive places such as an eye. Typically it happens in imuno-suppressed individuals (i.e. a person with HIV/AIDS, someone undergoing chemotherapy).

Some can be fatal, others are not. If treated, none except HIV, and possibly HBV are fatal.

All STDs are preventable but if not be treated as soon as possible it will become more menace to your life. So,get tested early as you can if you think you have an STD.

Most STDs will not lead to death; however complications can occur which may cause death. HPV can cause cancer, which may lead to death. Syphilis, left untreated, will lead to death as well.

HIV infection can be commonly transmitted sexually.

yes, stds will kill you almost instantly. Herpes takes about 2 weeks for you to die.. It is among the worst of all stds

i dont think any can kill and herpes definitly doesnt

Some can, while others cause less severe reactions.

If they are not treated, syphilis and gonorrhea can kill you. And AIDS, transmitted through the HIV will kill you as well.

If left untreated, you can die from certain types of STI's. However, in today's world that isn't as common as it used to be.

One example is Al Capone. He died from Syphilis.

Protect yourself if you are going to be sexually active and get tested for STI's.

Most STDs are not deadly; but some are and some can lead to complications that can cause death.

YES BECAUSE IF ITS NOT TREATED IT CAN BECAUSE YOU CAN BE SERIOUSLY ILL AND WHEN YOU HAVE IT MAKE SURE YOU CONFRONT YOUR PARTNER ABOUT IT BECAUSE THAT CAN LEAD TO SOMETHING BIG IF YOU AND YOUR PARTNER HAVE SEX AND YOU HAVE STD 1Absoloutely! Many different STDs result in death, and there also have been many deaths from secondary infections at the STD sites.

Yeah but if you go to a doctor you will Probably live but if aids or hiv Are involved. Good luck!

Generally speaking, a STD will not lead to death. HIV, in many cases, will lead to death. A STD may cause a person to become sterile.

While rare, syphilis that is not treated can result in death.

sypphillis and ghonnorhia

All STDs have the potential to be deadly.

Syphilis can cause death if left untreated, but that is rare. The worst STD is AIDS which can't be cured and will eventually result in the person's death.

Most other STDs will either clear up on their own or with treatment.

Some STIs can cause death. Most, if treated, will not cause death.

Yes. Most of the people catching HIV will develop AIDS after 8 to 10 years. Only few fortunate will not get it. So precaution is always better than cure, especially in case of HIV infection.

So to be faithful with your spouse is always better.

yes, especially syphillis if not treated immediately.

Aids

Any number of sexually transmitted diseases may cause death, or make someone a carrier. The only guaranteed way of avoiding it is by being 100% abstinent. The next "best" thing is to engage only in "safe-sex".

Yes, some are. Eight of the more than 30 pathogens known to be transmitted through sexual contact have been linked to the greatest numbers of illness.
Of these 8 infections, 4 are currently curable: syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and trichamoniasis.
The other four are viral infections and are incurable, but can be mitigated or modulated through treatment: hepatitis B, herpes, HIV, and HPV.
Safe and highly effective vaccines are available for 2 STDs: hepatitis B and human papillomavirus (HPV).
