∙ 13y agoPeople who are lactose intolerant can't digest regular milk. But there are other kinds you can drink, such as rice milk, oat milk, goat milk, almond milk, and coconut milk. I am sure there are others out there.
I am lactose intolerant myself.
so I am learning quick on what is safe to drink or even eat lately
When you are lactose intolerant, you cannot drink cow's milk, eat ice cream or cheeses that are not aged. Sometimes (and this may not be true for everyone) you can eat aged cheeses such as cheddar or parmesan or yogurt. But this is not always the case, so be careful of what you eat. Try drinking lactose-free milk, this is always a safe bet.

∙ 13y agoNo. Being lactose intolerant means that you are unable to digest lactose which is most often found in dairy products such as milk, ice cream, etc. Bacon is, of course, meat and does not contain lactose.
I think you mean "lactose intolerant."Lactose is milk sugar. All small babies can digest lactose, but many people lose their ability to digest it as they get older--that is why they get sick from drinking milk. People who can still digest milk sugar as adults are "lactose tolerant"; people who cannot digest it are "lactose intolerant."
When a person is lactose intolerant, any milk that is not lactose free will cause that person to have gas.? Lactose intolerance means a person does not have enough production of lactase enzyme.? When lactose is not broken down, it passes into the intestine where bacteria in the gut digest it and release gas.
Ferrets are lactose intolerant and cannot digest any dairy products. Dairy products such as milk can cause loose stools or diarrhea in ferrets. Advise from another contributor: we have five ferrets and have done quite a bit of research over the years, and i read on a few occasions that ferrets are lactose intolerant and therefore it is not good to give them milk as it can give them diarrhea. we also learned this as we gave one a small amount of milk and he had diarrhea. poor little thing.
Digest or process lactose, a consituent of milk.
lactose free milk has the same calcium content as regular milk, barring additives
Lactaid milk is milk that has had the lactose, milk sugar, removed. Some people cannot digest lactose so they have to drink milk without lactose if they want to drink milk.
Yes. You can use non-dairy creamer, have milk with the lactose processed out, take dairy supplements, use alternative milks (soymilk, coconut milk, almond milk, or rice milk), or omit milk altogether.
The condition is called lactose intolerance. It occurs when the body is unable to digest lactose, a type of sugar found in milk and dairy products, due to a deficiency of the enzyme lactase.
Lactose intolerance results from an inability in the small entrails to digest lactose. You can get so many carbohydrates or sugar in milk what's called lactose. You should avoid this.
It is possible to add a bacteria to the milk that will digest the lactose. It is also possible to use a cottage or yogurt bacteria and change the milk to a more digestible form. You still have to treat the milk, not the person. Perhaps some day chromosome therapy will enable lactose intolerant people to enjoy milk.
Lactose is the sugar found when milk and milk products are digested. Most babies tolerate lactose very well, but many adults find themselves missing the enzyme needed to digest lactose; causing severe gas, cramping and dumping syndrome, whenever they eat dairy, due to the inability to break down the milk sugar. The product called Lactaid is an enzyme that will allow those who are lactose intolerant, to consume dairy products with out discomfort. It works by helping the digestion of milk sugar.
