The pyloric sphincter is the sphincter between the stomach and the small intestine. Normally, the sphincter opens to allow food to enter the small intestine. In some cases, however, the pyloric sphincter may be too stiff or too small and food cannot get through it to enter the small intestine. This is a condition that babies can be born with, and requires surgery.
ileocecal sphincter
The iliocecal valve is an involuntary smooth muscle sphincter located between the ileum (small intestine) and the secum (portion of large intestine). Its function is to prevent backflow or reflux into the ileum.
Between the stomach-small intestine is the Pyloric. Between the small intestine and large intestine is the ileo-caecal. Then 2 sphincters at the end of the "process:" one to send messages to your brain to tell you to go to the bathroom and one to "control" yourself.
The sphincter muscle, or ileocecal valve is located at the junction of the small and large intestine.

The sphincter muscle, or ileocecal valve is located at the junction of the small and large intestine
The ileocecal valve is a sphincter located between the small intestine and the large intestine that helps prevent food from moving back into the small intestine once it has entered the large intestine. Its role is to regulate the flow of materials between the two sections of the digestive system to ensure proper digestion and absorption of nutrients.
The ileum is the final part of the small intestine that leads into the colon/ large interstine. It is around this transition of the ileum into the colon that the cecum (or caecum) arises. (At the end of the cecum is the appendix).
